MyOTAS are delighted to be offering gentle movement and relaxation sessions for parent carers.
Join us for a 1-hour twice monthly session for parent carers to ease, de-stress and unwind.

We know that parenting a child with additional needs can be stressful and that it is hard to make time for yourself.

Louise who will be leading the session, she currently runs our successful mother and daughter yoga sessions.  The gentle movement in the class will help to reset your parasympathetic nervous system, which is important in a stressful world, and will leave you feeling calm.

Should I apply for an EHCP for my child?

EHCP Information Session: When should I make a Parental Application for an EHCP?

Is your child struggling at school or college?

Join us for an informative session to learn about applying for an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).

Who Should Attend?
Parents, carers who:

  • Suspect their child has a learning difficulty or disability.
  • Parents/carers who believe their child’s educational progress is being held back despite school or college support.

Key Questions to Consider:

  • Does your child have a learning difficulty or disability that affects their progress at school or college?
  • Are there barriers to learning despite the support currently provided?
  • Do you think the school or college is unable to provide all the help and support needed?
  • Has your child’s progress remained limited even after extra support was put in place?
  • Does your child need special educational provision beyond what is ordinarily available?

Why Attend?

  • Find out about ‘What is an EHCP?’
  • Understand the criteria for applying for an EHCP.
  • Navigate the EHCP document
  • Understand the EHCP application timeline
  • Get answers from the MyOTAS Family Support team

Take the First Step Towards Better Support for Your Child! An EHCP can provide the additional resources your child needs to thrive in their education. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how to navigate the process effectively.

There will be a follow up session later in the term to help those parents wishing to complete their own EHCP application (this will be a smaller group).

We look forward to seeing you there!

Everyone is welcome, from anywhere in Essex, whether your child is at school or home ed. No diagnosis is required. Complementary tea/coffee/cold drink.
