Volunteer Opportunity – Fund-Raiser
Do you love meeting new people and making a difference in your community? Are you passionate about supporting a great cause? If so, we’d love for you to join our charity team.
About Us: We are a Wickford-based charity dedicated to supporting neurodivergent children, young people, and their families.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable, and enjoys meeting new people
- Passionate about supporting their local community
- Reliable and well-organised, especially when helping at events
- Full of creative ideas for fun and engaging fundraising activities
- A great team player, but also happy to take the lead when needed
- Passionate about making a difference and supporting MyOTAS’s mission
- A good communicator – both in-person and in writing
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and willing to get stuck in!
What you’ll do:
- Plan and run your own fundraising events to support our work
- Help organise exciting community activities – like quizzes, raffles, or bake sales
- Spread the word by delivering leaflets and promoting events in your area
- Represent MyOTAS at fundraising events
- Share your own ideas and bring them to life with the support of our friendly team!
Requirements of the role:
- All volunteers will need to complete relevant training to help ensure the smooth running of our services and to support a safe, effective environment for everyone involved.
- Undergo a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
- Provide two references.
